Russia boys and girls cross country lost a legend on Thursday afternoon when head coach Doug Foster stepped down from the program! Foster completed his 12th season at Russia this past fall! Under his leadership, the girls program won eight Shelby County Athletic League championships and qualified for the state meet seven times, while the boys program won seven league titles and qualified for state nine times! Prior to Russia, Foster was a longtime cross country coach at Covington where he is a member of their Hall of Fame! Former assistant Kyle Moore, pictured above, left the program shortly after last season ended and no replacements for either positions are known!
